MEET VATSA
Vatsa Ramanathan graduated from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysore, India with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Computer Science in 1992. He works as an IT Consultant for the United States Corps of Engineers, Dept of Defense.
Vatsa and his wife, Shubha, moved to Allen, Texas in 1999. Their two daughters, Nandita and Namrata, have attended school in the Allen Independent School District since kindergarten. Nandita graduated from Allen High School in 2016 and graduated from University of Miami and Emory with Masters in Public Health. Namrata graduated from Allen High School in 2021. Vatsa comes from a family of teachers and educators and is passionately dedicated to working for a better education and a better tomorrow for our children and the welfare of schoolteachers and staff. Before being appointed to the School Board in 2017 and elected in 2018, Vatsa served on various district committees and consistently demonstrated a high level of commitment to ensuring that AISD provides the best learning experience to our students. Aside from his duties as a Trustee, Vatsa is actively involved in the community, serves on many boards and committees in various capacities and is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Allen and 2022 graduate from Leadership - Texas Association of School Boards.

As a Board of Trustee and member of a family-owned educational institution in India, Vatsa came to the Allen ISD Board with a vast knowledge and experience in overseeing excellent schools.
He places the utmost importance in the futuristic education of our children and has solely sponsored($20,000) the Robotics program for elementary school kids conducted by the Allen Public Library since its inception. He does this because he knows it will help the children get a head start in the innovative field of science and technology and will prepare them for further experiences at the wonderful STEAM center in the Allen Independent School District.
With his vast experience in school management, his dedication to serving the community and his involvement in many aspects of the City of Allen, Vatsa is the ideal choice to be brought back to the Board of Trustees of the Allen Independent School District.
